Natural foods grown right, processed clean, and brought to you with full transparency — because what you eat every day matters most.
We firmly believe that food is more than nourishment — it is a sacred connection between nature and humanity.
Our journey began in 2021 with farming. As we worked closely with the land, we gained a deeper appreciation for the countless elements that make healthy food possible: living soil, clean water, thriving plants, hardworking farmers, responsible processors, and conscious consumers. We came to see every farm as a natural factory and every farmer as an entrepreneur, innovator, and caretaker of life.
This experience also revealed a growing challenge. While food is meant to sustain health and well-being, modern food systems often expose consumers to excessive processing, adulteration, and unnecessary complexity. We realised that producing healthy crops alone was not enough — there was an equally important need to promote honest, wholesome, and trustworthy food choices.
From this understanding, Hey-Si-Da was born — an expression of our guiding philosophy: Healthy · Simple · Daily.
Hey-Si-Da is not just a brand name or a product line. It is a commitment that guides every decision we make. Whether in farming, food preparation, ingredient selection, product development, or consumer education, we strive to follow these principles in our thought, word, and deed.
We believe that good health does not come from complicated solutions. It begins with simple, natural, and wholesome foods consumed every day. Our mission is to make such foods more accessible while supporting farmers, respecting nature, and encouraging informed food choices.
At Sabala Foods, we view farming, processing, and serving food as a noble responsibility. Through Hey-Si-Da, we seek to build a healthier future — one that benefits not only consumers, but also the soil, water, plants, farmers, and communities that make food possible.
Healthy. Simple. Daily. — A philosophy rooted in nature, guided by responsibility, and dedicated to the well-being of all.
The name says it all — Healthy · Simple · Daily. These aren't marketing words. They are a filter that every product, every process, and every decision must pass through.
We started with a simple observation: Indian farmers were selling raw produce at throwaway prices while consumers were buying adulterated products at premium prices. The chain was broken at both ends.
Hey-Si-Da was built to fix this — by bringing primary processing to the farm, cutting out unnecessary middlemen, and educating consumers about what real food looks, smells, and tastes like.
Before processing became an industry. Before additives became ingredients. Before the label replaced the farm. This page is about that food — and the honest effort it takes to bring it back.
Let us be straightforward with you about something most food brands will never say: getting food that is truly chemical-free, from seed to shelf, is genuinely difficult. It is not a marketing claim we make lightly — it is a daily operational challenge we work hard to meet, and one we fall short of in ways we want you to understand.
In an ideal world, every grain of rice, every drop of oil, and every spoonful of dal we sell would come from certified organic farms with zero pesticide history, tested at every stage, and delivered to you with a complete paper trail. That ideal does not yet exist at scale in India — and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something.
What Hey-Si-Da does instead is this: we source from farmers we know by name, in regions we visit, who have either converted to natural farming or are actively reducing their chemical inputs. Where testing facilities are accessible and economically viable, we get pesticide residue analysis done before a batch is cleared. Where they are not, we rely on our farmer relationships, our on-ground visits, and the FSSAI adulteration tests that are within every consumer's reach at home.
At Hey-Si-Da, we encourage every customer to look beyond labels and understand the complete journey of their food — because both organic certification and natural farming are valid, valuable paths. Neither one alone is the full picture, and you don't need to choose a side — you need to know what each one actually offers.
Certification tells us that certain standards were followed. But certification alone cannot tell us everything about a food product. Important questions still remain:
Whether a product is organic-certified, natural-farmed, or conventional — these five questions matter more than any single label.
| Stage | 🌱 Natural / Hey-Si-Da | ⚗️ Conventional | 💡 Why it matters to you |
|---|---|---|---|
Farming inputs |
No synthetic fertilisers or pesticides. Natural inputs — Jeevamrutha, Panchagavya, compost. Soil health improves every season. | Chemical fertilisers and pesticides used freely. Faster growth, uniform crop — but residues remain in the food. | Residue-free produce vs chemical carry-over into your kitchen and body. |
Yield per acre |
20–40% lower yield without chemical boosters. Same land, same farmer, same effort — less output per harvest. | Consistently higher yield through chemical assistance. More output per acre, lower cost per kg at source. | Lower natural yield means higher cost per kg — this is the single biggest contributor to the price difference. |
Procurement |
Direct from known farmers by name and location — often distant, in small lots. Traceability is the priority. | Nearest trader or mandi — anonymous bulk aggregation. No farm-to-pack traceability. Speed and volume are the priority. | You can scan a QR code and know the exact farm. Conventional food offers no such accountability. |
Processing |
Slow and gentle. Cold pressing below 40°C takes 3–4 hrs per batch. Sun drying turmeric takes 10–15 days. No shortcuts. | Fast and mechanised. High-speed mills, mechanical dryers above 80°C, chemical polishing agents. Done in minutes, not days. | Speed destroys nutrients. Slow processing is what keeps the oil fragrant, the dal nutritious, and the turmeric potent. |
Testing |
Batch-tested at NABL labs. Full reports published. FSSAI licensed. Every batch has a QR code linking to the test result. | Minimal or no batch testing in most cases. FSSAI compliance is often surface-level. Lab reports are rarely shared publicly. | You can verify every claim we make. With conventional products, you have to trust the label — and often the label is wrong. |
Climate risk |
No chemical buffer. A poor monsoon or heat wave can reduce the harvest significantly. We share this risk honestly in pricing. | Chemical inputs cushion climate impact. More consistent supply and pricing — but at the cost of soil health and food safety. | Our prices may vary seasonally — that is nature being honest. Stable conventional prices often hide the environmental damage that enables them. |
Appearance |
Natural variation in colour, size, and texture between batches. Unpolished dal, uncoloured turmeric, unbleached oil — real food varies. | Uniform appearance achieved through polishing, bleaching, colouring, and standardising agents. Every batch looks identical. | If your dal looks identical every time regardless of season or origin, ask what achieved that uniformity. Real food does not work that way. |
Price to you |
Higher — because all costs are visible and honest. The price you pay is what it actually costs to grow, process, test, and trace this food. | Lower at shelf — but not truly cheaper. Hidden costs are carried by the soil, the farmer's health, and the residues in the food itself. | The question is not which is cheaper. It is which costs are you paying now, and which are you paying later — with your health. |
Natural food produced this way is a finite, carefully sourced resource. Every kilogram that goes unused — sitting in a pantry past its best, or discarded because more was bought than needed — represents a farmer's effort, a season's yield, and a fair price paid, all going to waste.
We believe food waste at any stage is not just an economic loss — it is a waste of something genuinely precious. This is why we encourage you to buy according to your family's actual nutritional needs, not by habit, not by offer, and not by impulse.
We actively teach our customers how to test food for adulteration because an informed customer is the best quality control system that exists. If you know how to place a drop of honey in water and watch what happens, or drop a spoonful of turmeric and read the colour, you have a tool no label can replicate.
You can test ours. You should test everyone else's too. The Knowledge Hub on this website carries 46 FSSAI DART tests — not just to show how untrustworthy the market is, but to give you the knowledge to make that judgement yourself.
Every stakeholder in the Hey-Si-Da chain — the farmer who spent a season without chemical shortcuts, the processing team that took three hours where a machine could take thirty minutes, the testing lab that cleared the batch before it reached you — has put something real into what is in your hands.
The one thing that honours all of that effort is simple: buy what you need, consume what you buy, and waste as little as possible.
What is good for your family's health, what is fair to the farmer, what is honest to the earth — in our experience, these three things are almost always the same choice. That is what Healthy · Simple · Daily means to us.
